Holden Temporaries Wilson is looking for a Computer Deployment Technician

Overview:
The Computer Deployment Technician is responsible for preparing, deploying, and replacing
end-user computers across the organization. This includes imaging new computers, transferring
user data, installing required software, and ensuring old equipment is properly decommissioned.
The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to provide a
smooth transition for end users.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Image and configure new computers according to organizational standards.
  • Replace old computers with new devices, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
  • Transfer user profiles, files, and application settings from old to new systems.
  • Install and configure required software applications and updates.
  • Verify functionality of new systems, including network connectivity, printers, and
    peripherals.
  • Document hardware changes in the asset management system.
  • Assist with the secure wiping and disposal/recycling of retired equipment.
  • Provide basic end-user assistance during deployment to ensure successful transitions.
  • Escalate technical issues beyond scope to appropriate IT staff.
    Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in Computer Technology Field or equivalent required; IT-related
    certifications preferred.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and imaging tools (e.g., MDT, SCCM,
    ManageEngine, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of networking and peripheral device setup.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move computer equipment.
    Work Environment:
  • Primarily office-based with some fieldwork in other county/government facilities.
  • May require travel between locations to complete deployments
